PINEHURST, Texas — A Pinehurst family lost their home Saturday after a fire broke out in the 3500 block of West Park Avenue.
Firefighters were called to the scene after the residents, who were outside cutting grass, noticed smoke and flames coming from the house, according to Pinehurst Fire Chief Travis Dupuy.
When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the home. Dupuy said three adults and one child lived at the residence but no one was inside at the time of the fire.
The home appears to be a total loss.
Mutual aid was provided by the Orange Fire Department, West Orange Fire Department, Orange County ESD 3 and Orange County ESD 4.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
