The Pittsburgh Steelers escaped MetLife Stadium with a thrilling 34-32 win over the New York Jets on Sunday.
However, a handful of Steelers were injured over the course of the afternoon. Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin listed the injured names in his postgame press conference:
Safety DeShon Elliott and linebacker Malik Harrison suffered knee injuries that the team is evaluating. Cornerback Joey Porter Jr. had hamstring tightness and the team “shut him down so it didn’t get any worse than it was.”
Beyond that, Tomlin listed just the usual “bumps and bruises” of the game. He added that he thought the injury scare for veteran defensive lineman Cam Heyward was a poked eye, but Heyward was good to go after that. He returned to the game not long after.
