LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) - Local nonprofit Love the Hungry celebrated a significant milestone this weekend as it gave away its ten-millionth meal.

The organization has been working to prevent hunger by providing nutrient-rich food to those in need since 2012.

In those years, they’ve distributed meals to dozens of countries around the world.

Yesterday, volunteers gathered at the packaging center to celebrate the achievement and to crank out more meals.
