Quarterback Tyson Ruggiero passed for two touchdowns and rushed for two more as the Camas defense played well in a 47-0 season-opening win for the Papermakers over Roosevelt on Saturday in Seattle.

Ruggiero, an offseason transfer from Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, hit Ronan Loop for an 18-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter and an 11-yard TD pass to Charlie Loop in the third quarter.

Ruggiero finished 9 of 14 for 101 yards and rushed for 78 yards on seven carries. Both TD runs came in the first half as Camas took a 31-0 halftime edge.

Junior Ben Druckman, a transfer from Emerald Ridge in Puyallup, also saw time at quarterback, completing 5 of 8 passes for 91 yards, including a 56-yard TD pass to Loop in the second quarter.
