Erin Patterson will soon learn her fate as she is sentenced for murdering three relatives of her estranged husband by serving them a lethal mushroom lunch two years ago.

In a first for the Victorian Supreme Court, the convicted triple-murderer’s sentencing hearing will be broadcast live on Monday.

Justice Christopher Beale will hand down Patterson’s sentence at 9.30am in a hearing which is expected to last about 45 minutes.

The prosecution has argued Patterson should be jailed for life with no parole due to the "horrific" and "cruel" nature of her crime.
