GLEN JEAN, WV (WVNS) - A specific vendor’s presence at the West Virginia Trifecta Spartan Race sparked a protest in Glen Jean.
The United States Border Patrol was set up at this event recruiting.
Some concerned citizens caught wind of this and began protesting down the road from the Summit Bechtel Reserve. One person who spoke was Mathew Anderson, a Democrat candidate for West Virginia’s District 50 in the House of Delegates. Another leader of this protest was Pam Garrison, the chairperson of the West Virginia Poor People’s Campaign. They were voicing their concerns about President Donald Trump and Border Patrol’s handling of illegal immigration.
