CLEVELAND — Browns starting wide receivers Cedric Tillman and Jerry Jeudy didn’t make excuses for their dropped passes morphing into backbreaking interceptions Sept. 7 in a season-opening 17-16 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals .

Their reactions were mostly a mix of disappointment and surprise.

“Frustrated — 0-1, sick of losing,” Tillman said in the home team’s locker room at Huntington Bank Field . “We as a team, we got to do better. I got to do better.”

Jeudy didn’t use the word “fluke,” yet he basically outlined how the interceptions were fluky.

“It happened twice,” Jeudy said. “It’s unfortunate. When do people catch picks like that twice the same way like that? Unfortunate. It’s football, but it happens.
