Hello there! A mostly sunny and cooler start to your work week is on the way, with a chance of showers and, hopefully, less smoke than we dealt with over the weekend.

Monday will be a pleasant one, marking the second Monday of September with temperatures cooling after a long late-summer heat wave. Highs will top out in the lower 80s, with the possibility of a quick shower or two during the day.

The Air Quality Alert remains in effect for much of the region, but conditions improved dramatically on Sunday and are expected to hold into Monday. Some haze is possible, but light southwest winds should help keep most of the smoke out of the Inland Northwest.
