A sunset swim has been organised to fundraise for a rare child cancer. The TeamLuke Foundation has organised the event to help scientists dive deeper into the causes of neuroblastoma.
The swim is at Ellerton Lake, near Northallerton, on September 27. Neuroblastoma comprises of six per cent of all childhood cancer cases in the UK, resulting in 95 diagnoses each year.
The TeamLuke Foundation was set up in memory of Luke Bell , of Darlington . Luke was just eight-years-old when he died of high-risk neuroblastoma on the December 23, 2018.
The charity was established in his name with the goal of raising awareness and funds for research to prevent other families from suffering the same tragedy. This is the third year the charity has held the event, and swimmers will have the option of the
