A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Sunday at 7:10 p.m. for patchy frost until 9:15 p.m. for Oneida, Tompkins, Madison and Cortland counties.
"With clear skies, light winds and unseasonably chilly air over the region, low temperatures early Monday morning will fall to the low to mid 40s in most areas. Normally colder rural valley locations will see temperatures drop to the mid to upper 30s which could lead to patchy frost. Listen to NOAA Weather Radio or your local media for the latest updates on this situation," states the weather service.
