It is still not known what caused a pickup truck to go off the road and land in a ditch on Sunday evening near the intersection of Highway 63 and Farm to Market Road 2799, also known as Houston Street, just west of Jasper.

The volunteers of the Jasper Fire Department were dispatched to the location shortly after 4:00, when it was reported that the early model Chevrolet, which was headed west, went of the road and into a ditch which was full of water..

Firemen and other emergency crews arrived at the scene to find the female driver of the vehicle coming out the drivers side of the truck.

Firemen said another motorist stopped and picked up the unidentified driver away and at last word officers were still looking for the woman.
