FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. – The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office announced extra patrols at Juniper Dunes to address littering issues.
The nearly 4,000-acre area, popular among Tri-Cities residents, has seen an increase in trash, broken bottles, and empty cans over the past week, according to a Facebook post from the sheriff’s office .
FCSO emphasized that they will enforce warnings, fines, or other measures to maintain the area’s safety and enjoyment for all.
“Juniper Dunes is a privilege for Tri-City locals and guests alike, not a dumping ground,” the sheriff’s office stated.
They urged visitors to “pack it in, pack it out” and to show respect for the land and others.
The increased patrols aim to keep Juniper Dunes a clean and enjoyable place for everyone.
