A man was found dead in Lake Powell on Saturday.

Just before 8 p.m., the Kane County Sheriff's Dispatch received a 911 call about a 32-year-old man from Arizona who had jumped from an upper deck of a houseboat and had not resurfaced, according to a press release issued by the office.

The incident happened on the north side of Wahweap Bay in Kane County. Personnel from the Kane County Sheriff's Office, Utah Department of Natural Resources and National Park Service responded to the scene.

The man was located early Sunday morning by divers from the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area in about 17 feet of water. He was transported to the Utah Office of the Medical Examiner in Salt Lake City for further investigation, the release states.
