The San Diego Padres broadcast team of Don Orsillo on play-by-play and Mark Grant on analysis has been listed as No. 1 by Awful Announcing – a sports media website – in its annual rankings of top Major League Baseball local broadcasters.

With more than 31,500 individual fan-submitted votes from more than 3,000 respondents, the Orsillo-Grant duo received 1,047 “A” votes, the website said. They also received only 34 Fs, the fifth-lowest in the poll.

Awful Announcing said that the Padres broadcasters earned a cumulative score of 3.47. In a statement, the website said, “This booth finished first in our 2019 poll with a 2.99, third in 2023 with a 3.24, and third last year with a 3.26.
