FERGUSON, Mo. (First Alert 4) — Dorian Johnson was shot and killed Sunday in Ferguson, according to police.

Johnson, 33, was known nationally for being with Michael Brown when he was shot and killed by police on Aug. 9, 2014 .

The shooting happened around 8:30 a.m. Sunday in the 9000 block of Abaco Drive. Johnson was taken to an area hospital, where he died from his injuries.

One person was taken into custody, and police have applied for charges with the St. Louis County Prosecutor’s Office.
