Jared Goff averaged a paltry 5.8 yards per attempt Sunday and failed to lead the Lions to a touchdown until the final minute, but I don’t think he deserves the brunt of the blame for the offense’s struggles. Goff mostly took what the Packers gave him, checking down to open receivers as Green Bay kept two safeties deep most of the game. He finished 31-for-39, but 14 of his completions went to running backs, a sign he was playing too safe at times.
