The Minnesota Vikings visit the NFC North division rival Chicago Bears to close out the Week 1 schedule. Kickoff from Soldier Field is Monday night at 8:15 p.m. ET (ABC, ESPN). Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's Vikings vs. Bears odds and tab the 5 best prop bets to win among SportsbookWire's expert NFL picks and predictions for Week 1.
The Vikings have a new starting quarterback as 2024 first-round pick J.J. McCarthy takes over following the departure of Sam Darnold in free agency. The Vikings were 14-3 last season, but finsished second to the Detroit Lions in the division. They lost in the first round of the playoffs to the LA Rams. Last season, they were a top-10 offense and defense with WR Justin Jefferson racking up more than 1,500 receiving yards and LBs Jonathan Greenard and Andrew Van Ginkel combining for 23.5 sacks.
The Bears have QB Caleb Williams in his second season after throwing for more than 3,500 yards and 20 TD passes. However, he was sacked a league-leading 68 times. Gone is Matt Eberflus as head coach, and the new leader is former Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson. They added TE Colston Loveland in the first round of the draft, but did not bring back WR Keenan Allen.

Bears K Cairo Santos OVER 1.5 made FGs (+110)
Santos had 6 games last season making at least 2 field goals, including both games against the Vikings.
The Bears are expected to be better offensively under Johnson, but the Vikings defense was great last year, so field goals instead of touchdowns might be the norm. And anytime you can get a kicking prop with plus odds, you make that bet.
Vikings WR Justin Jefferson OVER 6.5 receptions (+115)
Jefferson had 7 or more receptions in 8 games last season, including in 5 of the final 6 regular-season games and once against the Bears. He will be McCarthy's top target, and the plus odds make this really appealing.
- Vikings at Bears odds, picks and predictions
Vikings WR Adam Thielen OVER 3.5 receptions (+115)
With WR Jordan Addison suspended the first 3 games of the season, the reliable Thielen will be an easy target for McCarthy. He had 5 or more receptions in his final 6 games last season, and, once again, plus odds for something that could easily happen is an easy bet to make.
Bears QB Caleb Williams OVER 24.5 rushing yards (-115)
Williams hit the 25-yard mark rushing 10 times last season, including in both games against the Vikings. The Vikings also allowed 48 rushing yards to Cardinals QB Kyler Murray last season, so they can give up rushing yards to quarterbacks.
Bears TE Colston Loveland ANYTIME TD (+475)
Loveland, the Bears' top pick in the draft, will be a big red-zone target at 6-foot-6. Lions TE Sam LaPorta had 10 TDs as a rookie in 2023 with Johnson calling the offense, so he will know how to get Loveland involved.
