NEW YORK — Paul Goldschmidt was only available in an emergency on Saturday for the Yankees because he’s still managing a right knee injury.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone revealed on Sunday morning that Goldschmidt recently had more tests done on his knee, an injury that traces back to a fall he had at first base while making a catch in foul territory midway through August.
