President Trump, speaking late Friday from the Oval Office, made his position on vaccines crystal clear: he supports them. And just as importantly, he is not aligning with Florida’s latest effort to essentially scrap mandates.
“Well, I think we have to be very careful,” Trump said. “We have some vaccines that are so amazing. The polio vaccine, I happen to think, is amazing… You have some vaccines that are so incredible. And I think you have to be very careful when you say some people don’t have to be vaccinated… It’s a tough stance. You have vaccines that work, pure and simple work, they’re not controversial at all, and I think those vaccines should be used otherwise some people are going to catch it and they endanger other people.”
Trump’s words come just days after Florida Surgeon Gene
