The “2:00 P.M.” episode of HBO Max’s “ The Pitt ” and the “It’s Not That Serious” seg of FX’s “ Dying for Sex ” were among the big winners on Sunday at the 2025 Humanitas Prizes. The event, held at the Avalon Hollywood and hosted by comedian Leah Rudick, honors writers of film and television projects “that explore the human condition in a nuanced and meaningful way.”

Other honorees included the films “Sing Sing” and “A Real Pain,” as well as the doc “Patrice: The Movie,” the young adult program “Heartstopper” and the family film “Inside Out 2.” All told, 52 writers were nominated for their work across 10 film and TV categories. Winners receive a trophy and a $10,000 cash prize.
