YORK, Maine — The York School Committee is expected to vote in October on a consolidation plan that would reduce the district’s four schools to two or three, as well as identify the cost to make that happen.

Harriman Architecture and Design is slated to present options by Oct. 1 — possibly earlier, at the committee’s Sept. 17 workshop — outlining how the district’s four schools and the York School District office could be reconfigured . The project would include a proposed expansion of one existing school to accommodate the closing of one or two of the schools.
