A southeast Warren neighborhood group is holding a special meeting Sept. 11 at Underwood Park to discuss a new library slated to be built on the property and Mayor Lori Stone’s opposition to the project.

“We want to talk about the library and give anyone who is not familiar with the location a chance to see where it is supposed to be built,” said David Area Neighborhood Group organizer Elaine Edwards. “And we want to discuss Mayor Stone’s letter to the city council saying she does not support the library.”

Edwards expressed disappointment Stone is not supporting what she says is a much-needed library in that corner of the city.
