Syracuse, N.Y. — In June, Syracuse police checked out a 911 call on the South Side. The tip: Nicole Azzoto’s boyfriend was threatening her with a gun.
The police didn’t charge anyone, but the threat was real.
Three weeks later, Azzoto was shot to death by her boyfriend, Anthony Price, during a domestic violence attack July 17, police say.
Neighbors, friends, and family members told investigators that Azzoto confided in them about Price’s abuse and that she showed them bruises and marks, according to a source familiar with the investigation.
