Vernon Kay has made a 'life' plea after he made an observation following his appearance at BBC Radio 2 latest big gig.

Radio 2 in the Park took place over the weekend and saw the stations plethora of DJs descend on Chelmsford alongside a number of famous musical acts.

Tens of thousands of music fans headed to Hylands Park to catch their favourite DJs in action in the flesh, as well as the likes of Bryan Adams, Olly Murs, Jessie J, Def Leppard, Anastacia and Ronan Keating who all took to the stage across the weekend.

Vernon, who hosts a weekday show on the station between 9.30am and 12pm, was among those to take to the stage over the weekend on Radio 2's very own DJ Stage - and it seems he didn't want to leave.
