PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — We’re learning more from the city of Pawtucket on its pitch to keep the Hasbro toy company in the city.
City officials have forwarded a July letter they sent the toy giant, showing some of the propositions they’re granting so Hasbro doesn’t move to Boston.
In the letter, Commerce Director Jason Pezzullo offered Hasbro the Apex pyramid property as their new headquarters.
The city also offered cheaper rent per square foot to compete against Boston and Providence.
Signatures on the letter included Mayor Don Grebien and Governor McKee.
That letter was sent July 29, but we don’t know if Hasbro responded.
