Prince Harry has arrived in Britain and visited Queen Elizabeth II 's final resting place to lay a wreath and flowers, his spokesperson confirmed.

The Duke of Sussex flew in from LAX and went straight to Windsor where the late queen was laid to wrest at St George's Chapel.

It will have been an extra poignant pilgrimage for Harry as it was also the venue for Prince Philip's funeral in 2021 and his wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018.

Harry is due to attend the WellChild Awards in London today during a visit in which media commentary has focussed primarily on whether he will meet his father, King Charles III .

This is a developing story and will be updated.
