Trespassers at a Leicestershire quarry are risking "serious injury" according to police. A warning has been issued after police said it had received "multiple reports" of trespassing at the site.
Leicestershire Police issued its warning after it said a group of young people had accessed Bardon Hill Quarry through a fence adjacent to the public footpath in Bradgate Drive, Coalville . It is an act of trespass the force said gave “potential for serious injury”.
As part of the warning, police said that they are investigating reports of “criminal damage” to a vehicle within the quarry grounds. The force reminded others that appropriate action would be taken against anyone found to be gaining unauthorised access to the site.
