Good news, Chicago commuters. Metra is officially expanding the schedules for several lines starting today, Sept. 8, including the Union Pacific West Line to Elburn and the BNSF Line to Aurora.
The updated schedules aim to minimize capacity issues and other inconveniences during peak times.

BNSF Line to Aurora expands schedule
Metra is adding weekday express trains and expanded hourly service on weekends to the BNSF Line to Aurora, starting Sept. 8, according to the online schedule.
Two inbound express trains will be added to the weekday morning service, making stops from Lisle to Downers Grove then expressing to Chicago. During the evening rush, two additional outbround trains will express from Chicago to Congress Park then make all stops to Fairvie
