As a worldwide juggernaut, the Marvel Cinematic Universe isn't exactly bad at catering to fans. In the US, fans see their national culture reflected in icons like Captain America and Iron Man. And in the Chinese market (the next biggest for MCU films), special scenes have even been added to appeal to audiences.

However, Marvel hasn't done nearly as much to cater to its third biggest market: the United Kingdom. Despite its smaller size, the UK reliably spends the third most in the world on seeing MCU movies. But while there are plenty of UK actors in the MCU, there are way fewer exciting British superheroes. That's surprising, as over the years Marvel Comics has introduced a wealth of British characters for fans to love.
