ASHEBORO, N.C. (WGHP) — The search for a 7-year-old boy who went missing on Sunday in Asheboro is ongoing as of Monday morning.

The Randolph County Sheriff's Office reports that 7-year-old Liam A. King went missing in the area of Forest Hills Drive in Asheboro after walking off.

He is around 3 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs 55 pounds and has shoulder-length brown/black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a light blue, black, and gray Nike sweatshirt, a gray Nike t-shirt, black sweatpants, blue Sonic socks and tan tennis shoes.

A Public Safety Alert for King's whereabouts was also sent out by authorities on Sunday night.

Deputies say that Liam suffers from cognitive impairments and is non-verbal. He may run away if approached.
