The properties on The Green in Ruddington have been empty for around 30 years

A homeowner has been fined £4,000 after letting three prominent properties in a Nottinghamshire village deteriorate for nearly 30 years. Mark Reaston was prosecuted by Rushcliffe Borough Council (RBC) for failing to bring the houses on The Green in Ruddington back to a reasonable condition.

He was found guilty of 15 counts of failing to comply with statutory notices issued by the authority at Nottingham Magistrates Court on Wednesday, September 3. The council served the owner with notices in May 2023 after years of complaints from neighbours.
