CHARLES TOWN — Jefferson County Commission listens to an overview of the Jefferson County Day Report Services during its regular meeting on Sept. 4. Tim Czaja, director of the Berkeley County Day Report, came to talk to the commissioners about how they were able to fill the gap left in Jefferson County and how they plan to move forward.
Earlier this year, the Jefferson County Day Report Center announced that it would be closing and ending its services. It was designed to help those struggling with drug abuse and keep them out of prison. The county staff reached out to Berkeley County Day Report to help serve residents in need while they try to start a new center. One of the key individuals throughout this transition was Czaja, who has continued to provide guidance.
