The ROG Xbox Ally won’t be the only handheld PC with Xbox features, but its base asking price will make your eyes water.
We’re just over a month away from the launch of the ROG Xbox Ally, a rebranded Asus portable device that Microsoft hopes will help it break into the handheld PC market.
And yet Microsoft still refuses to share pricing details, saying last month that it needs ‘more time to figure out the macro-economic impact to pricing’. Meanwhile, leaks point to both the standard and more powerful Ally X models costing roughly $549.99 and $899.99, respectively.
Those prices are far from cheap but, compared to a new handheld from rival company Lenovo, they’ll seem downright affordable as Lenovo’s alternative is more than $1,000… and that’s the least expensive option.
In terms of UK p
