A Canton man who allegedly shot a man , fled the scene, and hid under his mother’s bed until he was found, was arraigned Friday, Suffolk prosecutors said.
Jordan Evans, 32, pleaded not guilty in Roxbury Municipal Court to a charges of murder in the first degree, and of carrying a firearm without a license, according to court records.
Evans was ordered held without bail. He is due back in court on Oct. 3 for a pre-trial hearing, Suffolk District Attorney Kevin R. Hayden’s office said.
An arrest warrant was issued on Thursday, and a lawyer was appointed to represent Evans during his arraignment, court records show.
The alleged shooting occurred on May 3 in Roxbury, according to the statement.
At 10:53 p.m., Boston police responded to a ShotSpotter activation for two gunshots at Blue H
