Former Aberdeen striker Robbie Winters will pull his boots back on at the age of 50 to play in a memorial tournament on Sunday to remember his friend and former East Kilbride Thistle boss Alan Paterson. ‌

Winters will be joined by his brother David, the former Dundee United and Ross County striker, as well as a few familiar faces from Alan's time at three of his previous clubs: EK Thistle, Cambuslang Rangers and Whitehills FC. ‌

Members of Alan's family will make up a fourth team taking part in the tournament. ‌

Alan passed away on September 20, 2022 at the age of just 44.

Winters - whose previous clubs also include Livingston, Dundee United, SK Brann, Pollok and East Kilbride FC - says the event will be a great day for all his friends and family to honour his memory.
