Amazon’s long-awaited God of War live-action series will begin production in Vancouver next year.

According to Nexus Point News and other popular gaming websites, the cinematic version of the popular action-adventure PlayStation video game is set to begin production here sometime in March of 2026.

Said to be one of Amazon Prime Video’s most ambitious game-to-screen adaptations, God of War joins Season 3 of The Last of Us and Season 2 of Shögun as major series set to shoot here in Hollywood North in 2026.

The confirmation of shooting is good news for Hollywood North after Apple announced it would be relocating the series Stick from Vancouver to Los Angeles for its second season.
