HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Heart of the Valley YMCA announced that the association has successfully exited chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The YMCA first entered Chapter 11 bankruptcy in August 2024 as part of a strategic restructuring effort. Over the past year, the association has worked to stabilize operations, strengthen financial stewardship, and position itself for long-term success.

“This is a turning point for the Heart of the Valley YMCA,” said Rob Gray, who joined the Association as President and Chief Executive Officer last month. “Our mission remains at the heart of everything we do. Exiting bankruptcy allows us to move forward with renewed strength, optimism, and focus on serving children, families, and neighbors across our region.”
