Everyone's heard of the much-loved millionaire's shortbread with its thick layer of caramel coated in chocolate.

But now Lidl has done a twist on the old favourite and launched a Lemon Millionaire Shortbread as a 'special guest' bakery treat.

I was lucky to find some in store with a just a few remaining from that day's batch, so I bagged some for the family to try.

Size wise, I was a little disappointed initially to see how small these are, but they're pretty thick and at 99p each it's not exactly breaking the bank.
