Principal Mark Higdon gives his students high marks in handling crowded situations at Campbell County High School, but it isn’t always easy. The school, which Higdon said was crowded last year, this year has the largest sophomore class ever with 473 students. “Our traffic flow is not real good during class changes,” he said, “If they get distracted at all, they can’t make it from the math wing or the mobile units in time.” Higdon predicted the problem would worsen during cold winter days when students must go outside to attend classes in mobile units that have been brought in to help ease the cramping.
