Two Australian nurses met a tragic end after being struck by a car whilst attempting to rescue an injured kangaroo. Aseera Suwal was travelling to her 30th birthday celebration with best mate Sarala Khadka when both were fatally hit by a vehicle on a Melbourne motorway. ‌

The pair had pulled over to assist the wounded marsupial before disaster struck. Both women, aged 30, perished after being struck by a car whose driver couldn't spot them in the darkness. ‌
