City officials say continuous improvements to Kingman’s downtown are attracting more patrons to enjoy local shopping, food, and events like First Fridays. But, with that comes an increase in traffic and a need for more parking.

Kingman City Council acknowledged this need at its Sept. 2 meeting by approving a new lease allowing for the city to turn a privately owned lot on the northeast corner of Andy Devine Avenue and 4th Street, directly next to Hotel Beale, into a public parking lot.
