NatWest is set to close more branches this month as part of its extensive plan to shut down 106 by the end of 2025. The high street bank announced 53 closures in January 2025, before confirming in June that it would be closing an additional 53 branches.
This move comes as the bank highlighted a significant shift in consumer banking habits in recent years. The trend towards mobile and online services has resulted in fewer people choosing to bank in person, forcing not just NatWest but many other major high street banks to close branches with dwindling footfall.
