DENVER (KDVR) — Denver agencies Monday "extricated" a person at an apparent Frito-Lay plant after they allegedly fell around 40 feet into a corn silo.
The Denver Fire Department on X at 12:10 p.m. said that its crews and the department's technical rescue team were responding to a "confined space incident" after a person had fallen in the corn silo.
The agency reported the location as a Frito-Lay plant on 37th Avenue.
In an update, DFD said that an employee, whose place of employment has yet to be confirmed, was not, in fact, stuck in the corn or reported any injuries, but was on top of the corn and needed to be extricated by crews from above.
The employee was able to put on a rope and harness, which was lowered by the department's team, and ultimately was lifted out of the silo.
