To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the album "Mothership Connection," Parliament Funkadelic and George Clinton will perform at the Detroit Opera House for a special concert titled "Symphonic PFunk: Celebrating the Music of Parliament Funkadelic" on Jan. 31.
The group will feature the Detroit Opera Orchestra under the direction of Ray Chew. According to promoters, this is the first time Clinton's music has ever been performed with a live orchestra.
Venue and Ticketmaster presale starts at noon Tuesday and fan club pre-sale begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday. General on-sale is at 10 a.m. Friday via Ticketmaster.com and in person at the Detroit Opera box office. VIP meet-and-greet packages are available.
