STOCKTON, Kan. (KAKE) - The U.S. Geological Survey says that an earthquake shook parts of northwest Kansas early Monday morning.

The magnitude 3.3 quake occurred around 2:50 a.m. Monday, with an epicenter about 5km (3.1 miles) north-northwest of Stockton in Rooks County. The USGS says moderate shaking was reported in the town of Stockton itself, while there were reports of lighter shaking to the north.
