OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The married couple arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing Thursday night appeared in court Monday morning.

Deshawn Griffin, 26, is charged with 2nd-degree murder and use of a weapon to commit a felony. He was assigned a public defender.

Kayla Griffin, 24, is charged as an accessory to a felony. Her bond was set at $500,000.

According to Omaha police, officers responded to the parking lot of Anytime Laundry, near 46th and Cuming streets, just before 10 p.m. Thursday.

In court Monday, prosecutors said the alleged victim, 35-year-old Johnathan Wallace, had approached Deshawn Griffin and an argument ensued over a lighter.
