SALT LAKE CITY — Authorities recovered the body of a deceased man from a boat on Lake Powell on Saturday morning.

On Saturday, at approximately 8 p.m., Kane County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a call about a 32-year-old man. He had not resurfaced after jumping from the upper deck of a houseboat into the north side of Wahweep Bay.

Drivers found the body early Sunday morning in about 17 feet of water.

The body has been transported to the Utah State Medical Examiner’s Office for further investigation.
