FULTON COUNTY, Ill. – A Canton man accused in the stabbing death of a 70-year-old man last week must remain in jail before trial.

25 News reports 38-year-old Rocky Garwood, charged with First Degree Murder in the death of David Kuntz , appeared in Fulton County court on Sunday, where a petition to deny pretrial release was granted.

Garwood faces up to 60 years in prison, if found guilty, and would have to serve the whole sentence.

Authorities believe Kuntz was stabbed to death in a home on Baxter Court.

Police are also asking for the public’s help in reviewing any possible video surveillance from the evening of September 2nd into the early morning hours of September 3rd, specifically regarding a man on a bicycle in that timeframe.
