GRAND ISLAND, NY (WKBW) — It’s just a few days into a new school year, and both students and teachers are navigating a new state-wide cell phone ban. But at one local school district, students appear to be already settled in with the big change.

Our 7 News Senior Reporter Eileen Buckley, who covers the Northtowns for you, headed to the Grand Island High School, where she's sharing the voices of high school students and the principal about the new impact this law is having in the classroom.

"Honestly, it's not that difficult,” remarked Sienna Sarkess, senior, Grand Island High School.

Two Grand Island high school seniors tell me that although they're only three days into the new school year, the state school cell phone ban is not a problem for them.
