SALT LAKE CITY — Four Utah communities will receive federal funding to improve water and wastewater systems, USDA Rural Development announced Monday.

The investments include $2.9 million for Corinne City in Box Elder County to upgrade its wastewater system, replacing aging pipes, manholes and lift station pumps. Richfield in Sevier County will receive $1.1 million to repair its culinary water system, replace lead pipes and curb water loss.

Lyman in Wayne County is set to receive $4.5 million for a new 500,000-gallon storage tank, a well and distribution improvements. In San Juan County, La Sal will use a $30,000 grant for technical assistance to study the feasibility of a municipal water system.
